You’re here for a reason. You want a vehicle, but you’re also interested in luxury. What better way to get your money’s worth than to purchase a vehicle that gives you a luxurious experience? Well, let me tell you that doing your research can go a long way, and having a guide like me can make that research so much easier. So, what are some of the luxury features inside of the 2022 Toyota Venza you should keep an eye out for? Truth be told, I’m not a humble guide, but I’m a guide nonetheless, and I’ve got all of the information you need, so let’s get started.
You see, there’s nothing worse than getting home with a new product, whether it be a TV, phone, or yes, even a vehicle, and immediately regretting it. Why would you regret it? In the modern-day, people are far more likely to purchase “Product A” instead of “Product B” if the former seems more enticing at the time. Maybe a specific feature caught your eye, but sometimes the rest of the vehicle’s experience will falter as a result.
Luxury goes far beyond one sole feature, and in many cases, a vehicle may skip out on one or more amenities because the manufacturer wanted to save a buck on the production line. You won’t be finding this problem with the 2022 Toyota Venza. Don’t be mistaken; this doesn’t mean you have to purchase the priciest vehicle in the lineup to have some of the best luxury features. The Venza is respectably priced for the sheer amount of luxury this vehicle possesses. With that in mind, let’s begin, shall we?
#1 Digital Rearview Mirror
I’m going to start with a unique one, which is Toyota’s Digital Rearview Mirror. Simply put, you’re not going to find this on your average SUV. Traditionally, your rearview mirror is just that, a mirror, and it does its job of reflecting what’s behind you well enough. However, sometimes this can be a problem, whether it’s because of rambunctious passengers who won’t sit still, or sometimes you may have to transport a tall piece of cargo that blocks the rear window. The Digital Rearview Mirror doesn’t display a reflection when in use; instead, it displays a camera feed from the rearview camera, showing you only what is behind your vehicle and not also what is in it. There’s no better way to get a more detailed view of what’s behind your vehicle than this.
#2 SofTex Seating
For years, the argument between leather and cloth seats has been one we’ve heard before. So, here’s an alternative, SofTex seating. SofTex is far from a new addition to Toyota vehicles, and it often overshadows leather seats, both aesthetically and functionally. For example, SofTex-trimmed seating, along with the available perforated seats, can give off the same appeal as real leather, but it’s often a far more durable material that’s less likely to experience scrapes and scratches. Additionally, you’ll find stain removal to be a much simpler process.
The seats themselves aren’t only luxurious because of the materials, but they offer tremendous comfort with any trim level. The standard arrangement includes an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support for extra cushion in your lower back. Although the passenger misses out on these fancy chairs at the base level, stepping up to any of the following trims will give the front-seat passenger a 4-way power-adjustable seat. It’s indisputable that manually adjusting your chair is an old and tired product of the past, yet with many vehicles, they still come standard. As mentioned, even the base trim will give the driver a cozy experience by avoiding manually-adjustable seats altogether.
#3 Panoramic Roof
Having a sunroof of any kind can greatly enhance any interior. Having a panoramic roof, on the other hand, makes the driving experience nearly indescribable and unlike anything you’ve ever driven before. The amount of sunlight you’ll have in your cabin will keep you energized throughout the day, and it’s always a beautiful sight for passengers to gaze upon, especially at night. Best of all, when you’re driving your Venza in the summertime, you can open the panoramic roof to lend your Versa more of a convertible feeling, especially more than any competitors that lack a comparable roof.
#4 Hands-Free Power Liftgate
In what I would describe as a feat of engineering, the Hands-Free Power Liftgate will be a welcomed addition to your purchase. I’m sure you’ve had to place down grocery bags to free up a hand so that you can open the trunk of your vehicle in the past. For those who don’t know, a power liftgate works by gently waving the tip of your foot underneath the rear side of your vehicle. Once you do this, the door will open; it’s that simple.
Wait a minute, wouldn’t this allow anybody to open your trunk if you don’t have to turn a key? Good question, but fret not, because Toyota has got you covered. The Hands-Free Power Liftgate will not work unless you have the included key fob on you. Honestly, you will find this feature to be such a luxury on those days you don’t want to or can’t rearrange what you are carrying in order to open your trunk. It’s simple yet effective at making your everyday life easier.
#5 Head-Up Display
When you purchase your 2022 Venza, you’ll have the option of adding a 10-inch head-up display to your dashboard. What’s a head-up display? It’s a unique display that projects onto the windshield in front of you and displays important information like your speedometer reading so you can see them without having to look away from the road ahead. When in use, you won’t have to worry about it obstructing your view either because the projection is transparent and seamlessly blends with your windshield. This feature may seem little, but it definitely will make your drive safer and more comfortable.
#6 Multimedia Center
There’s arguably no better way to measure luxury nowadays than the feature set and size of a vehicle’s infotainment center. Nowadays, vehicles are more like the computers in our homes or the phones in our pockets. Media centers such as the ones found in the 2022 Venza include processor chips and other components which make them no different than your modern-day computer. Pretty much every modern vehicle has some kind of infotainment system now, but they vary greatly between models and trims. Most of the time, a vehicle that comes with a standard infotainment center is stuck using a 7-inch screen or a 5-inch screen in the worst cases.
What you’ll find within the base Venza is an 8-inch display with an aux port, Bluetooth connectivity, and four USB ports. Three of these USB ports are exclusively for charging wireless devices, and the one located near the infotainment center will be for media playback and data transferring. You’ll find a host of features and services within your media centers, such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the relative newcomer, Amazon Alexa. Should you want an internet connection tethered to your vehicle for use at any given moment, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is available with a subscription service. With your purchase, you should be treated to a three-month trial of this service with a 2GB data cap.
Speaking of subscription services, the 2022 Venza comes with a 3-month trial to SiriusXM. For those who don’t know, SiriusXM is an internet radio service where you’ll find over a hundred available stations, all running 24/7, hosted by entertaining disc jockeys. Chances are you’ll find more than a dozen channels you’ll put on your list of favorites. For the listening experience, the Venza comes equipped with 6-speakers, but upgrading to the more advanced infotainment center replaces these with a premium audio setup.
That’s right; if you go further up the trim line, you will be able to get a much larger 12.3-inch touchscreen for your infotainment center. This is the size of some smaller modern computers and makes all of your apps easy to see and navigate. It’s the right touch of extra that really brings this SUV from average to luxury.
